The term was coined by the criminologist and psychiatrist Nils Bejerot, who assisted the police during the robbery, and referred to the syndrome in a news broadcast.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh took everyone by surprise when he announced, in Havana, the setting-up of an India-Pakistan anti-terror mechanism. When Musharraf denies the very presence of any of the terrorists and their training camp and any jihadi infrastructure in Pakistani territory, against whom will this of Havana declaration mechanism be directed?
